One of the aims of Starfleet throughout Star Trek series is discovering new life forms. Aside from new humanoids the crews of Enterprise, Voyager or starbase Deep Space Nine meet unique creatures. Some may seem monstrous, others appear quaint or loveable.

This site presents some creatures and humanoid species according the space quadrant of the milky way they derive from. Alpha quadrant shelters mostly races known from "Star Trek - Original series" and "The next generation". Gamma Quadrant species emerge the first time in "Deep Space Nine" while creatures and humanoid species from Delta Quadrant have been discovered by crew of Starship "Voyager" solely, except the Borg.
